![]() In June 2019 I had the idea of creating King of Catan and I made it a realization on July the 2nd. In the mean-time I started live-streaming and making videos. Looking back at it Dylan probably figured I didn't know that much about the Base Game. I applied, even though I barely knew anything about popular strategies in the Base Game, but I knew Dylan made videos, so I checked one and he mentioned Ore/Wheat were better than the others, so I did my placements with that in mind. In I started with playing and I noticed I wanted to have stronger competition and I came across a reddit-post by DylLighted about the CCG. I got top 20 in ELO for Seafarers with less than 200 games played. I won the next ten games at home, got bored, started playing online and I noticed I could hold my own. I started thinking about it and that's what got me hooked on Catan. There was a game in which my father, the worst Catan-player I've ever seen, won a game pretty badly and it made me think how he did that. I've started playing Catan with friends and family like 10 years ago. I bachelor'd Facility Management (college) a year ago I watch(ed) a lot of sports: NBA, Korfball, Soccer, Cycling, and Hearthstone I play sports (Korfball - sorta like the less cool version of Basketball) Thanks to trying to become great at something I overcame most of problems eventually and that's why I also want to give this opportunity in King of Catan to others.
